#4 Factors which influence web design.
The article of 4 factors which influence website design discussions as below.
1) Clarity of Goals in Website
Differentiation websites exist, it have perceived website complexity (PWC) which means the elements of PWC affect the degree that users find a website appealing and satisfying, it reflects an effectively managing a website’s level of complexity (Geissler et al., 2001). Therefore, to distinguish and identify a website needs to classify on the objective website and PWC (Schlosser, 2003) it will easier to understand the goals.
2) Interactivity of Website
In terms of interactivity of website, active control refers to the ability to choose information and guide an interaction (Lowry et al., 2006). Specifically, active control and interactive communication are consistently recognized as facets of interactivity (Lee, 2005). For instance, active control is widely referenced as an interactivity aspect in various including on ecommerce. It will more attractive and interesting with interactivity of website.
3) Ease of Web Navigation
The ease of web navigation is an important factor for website. With a good navigation system, the site’s users will always know where they are, where they can go next, and where they have already been. Always highlight the current location so it tells the user “You are here.”
In fact, navigation can be an organizational tool for designing your content delivery. Without effective navigation, users can become lost, and content may become inaccessible. (Smith, 2001)
4) Use of multimedia
Multimedia is the integration of text, graphics, sound, and video/animation in a computer-based environment. There are many benefits and limitations of using multimedia in a website. People can see things in different method. But the initial costs for resources to support multimedia development can be prohibitive. (Smith, 2001)
